About Dream DayDream Day is a collaborative project organised and designed by artist Anna Fox and literacy teacher Alison Jackman together with class 3/4 of Selborne Primary School in Hampshire. This work was made during a workshop run by Anna and Alison: the children were directed to go home and photograph their rooms exactly as they found them as if they were detectives from another planet investigating human life. The stories were written in response to the photographs, to work together with them to create miniature fictions from real life scenes. Dream day is a continuation of Anna Fox's investigation into new ways of creating documetary stories, her last project Made in Europe used photographs by teenagers from five different European cities together with their writings about hopes and fears for the future to create a poignant comment on contemporary European society at the start of the 21st century. |
