Artist's Statement

My first memories of the landscape are as a small child, exploring and rummaging in the undergrowth of the woods and the brook at the end of the garden in search of materials to construct dens and fantastical spaces. These spaces were created to serve the existence of my imaginary friend and the worlds that we wished to inhabit.
My recent work has become an investigation into the invisible, the imaginary and its links with the self and our identity in relation to memories and aspects of the landscape.
